At Melavette, we design and curate women’s fashion with care, and we want you to feel confident with every purchase. If your item isn’t quite right, we’re here to help. This policy outlines our return and refund terms for women’s clothing only, including dresses, outfit sets, shirts and tops.

30-Day Return & Exchange Window

We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery, in accordance with applicable U.S. consumer protection laws. Requests submitted after this period may not be eligible.

Eligible Items

Returns and exchanges apply to women’s apparel only, including but not limited to:

  • Dresses (casual, formal, evening, occasion wear)
  • Outfit sets / matching sets (two-piece or multi-piece)
  • Shirts, blouses, tops, and similar upper-wear garments

To qualify, all returned items must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • Free from stains, makeup, deodorant marks, perfume, smoke, or any odor
  • Not stretched, altered, tailored, or damaged
  • Returned in original condition with all tags, labels, garment bags, and packaging intact
  • Includes any accessories originally provided with the item (e.g., belts, ties, detachable pieces)

Items showing signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and quality reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective or incorrect:

  • Items marked as Final Sale / Clearance
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items missing original tags or packaging
  • Items returned outside the 30-day window

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Once verified, we will offer one of the following at no additional cost:

  • A replacement item (subject to availability), or
  • A full refund

Free return shipping will be provided for all approved defective or incorrect item claims.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

All returns and exchanges are handled by mail only.

To start the process:

  1. Email info@melavette.com with your order number and reason for return or exchange
  2. Once approved, you will receive a prepaid return shipping label
  3. Print the label, securely package the item, and send it back to us

Return shipping is free for all approved returns and exchanges.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is completed

Please note:

  • If your payment was made in a currency other than USD, your bank or payment provider may apply exchange rates or additional fees beyond our control

Exchanges

Prefer a different size, color, or style?

  • Exchanges are available within the same 30-day return window
  • All exchanges are subject to product availability
  • If the requested exchange item is unavailable, a refund will be issued instead

No Restocking Fees

We do not charge restocking fees. Eligible women’s clothing items can be returned or exchanged without penalty.
